As a kid, I thought I came from a long line of teachers, I always thought I too would be a teacher. As I grew up, I learned I actually came from a family of entrepreneurs. Cool, right? My aunt became a hairdresser, my grandad was a farmer, my grandmother had two successful businesses, one of which is still in operation today after recently being sold. My dad has had a side hustle as long as I can remember. When I went to college, I wasn't sure where life would take me.

I had an itch for creativity, that much I knew. I tried writing, graphic design, even coaching. Not the life/career coaching you typically see today. Like with a whistle and yelling at college kids that have 0 clue what's going on. While rewarding, still wasn't what I was looking for.

Fast forward: Launched my voice over career with narrating abridged audiobooks, some call this TLDR, for the older crowd, "cliffs notes" versions of nonfiction and biographical novels. My career has since evolved into voicing commercials, e-learning, & corporate narration. Each new gig opportunity gives me the push I need to work to find the next one. It's absolutely exhilarating.

Great to meet you!

Since I live so close to the prominent FSU film school, I found myself on set with rising directors and gaining the experience to start auditioning for on-camera roles. Now I have acted as an owl mascot for a credit union ad, a server in a commercial with Kirk Herbstreit, and a pasta chef on a Lifetime movie with Garcelle Beauvais.

Networking and creating community around similar interests and likeminded individuals has been integral to my growth and career. I learned to work together as a team, while playing for the inaugural women's professional Ultimate frisbee team in Nashville. As a college newspaper editor-in-chief, I developed problem solving skills. After tearing my ACL and attending an entire year of PT, I mastered straight GRIT and determination. But I didn't get there alone. I found a fitness community on Twitch (of all places) and learned healthy habits for nutrition and training from so many encouraging people. Locally, I attend creative community meet-ups with producers, designers, artists, and authors. Even the voiceover community has adopted me, they are always inspiring and regularly offer advice and mentorship.
